COUN 286B - Workshop: Youth at Risk: Counseling InterventionsSemester Hours: 3The counselor's role in understanding and working with at risk youth will be explored in this course. Preventive and responsive strategies will be considered in relation to counseling youth with concerns such as delinquency and violence, substance use, teen pregnancy, school dropout, and the other risk-based behaviors. Community and school-based resources that aim to support this population will be examined.
