BIO 122 - Systematics

This coursc is devoted to the study ofthe diversity of evolution of living organisms. The theory and practice of biological systematics, from the description of new species to the reconstruction of the phylogenetic relationships of higher taxonomic groupings, will be presented. Current topics in systematics will be explored and students willlcam computer programs for phylogenetic reconstruction. Students are required to prepare individual or group-based oral presentations, using appropriate computer-based technologics.
