JRNL 215 - Journalism on the Web Semester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring
This course will teach students about the serious uses of the World
Wide Web – how to use it as a research tool to find and evaluate
information, and how to design and write for it as a new medium of mass
communication. Emphasis will be placed on discrimination skills to
distinguish between reliable sites and unreliable ones. Students will
also learn related computer-based stills of informational graphics
using contemporary software programs.
Prerequisites & Course Notes JRNL 211.
Journalism students may not take this course on a Pass/Fail
basis. Students not matriculating in the M.A. Journalism program
may take the course as a Pass/Fail elective. Lab fees additional.
