JRNL 256 - Current Issues in Science Journalism Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring, Summer
This course is a seminar-style examination of contemporary issues in
science as they are being covered in real time in various news media. A
critical assessment of the medium-specific approaches to these stories
will provide the focus to evaluate the factors and particular issues
involves with covering science for various audiences.
Prerequisites & Course Notes Journalism
students may not take this course on a Pass/Fail basis. Students not
matriculating in the M.A. Journalism program may take as a Pass/Fail
elective.
