HADM 230 - Nursing Home and Long Term Care Administration
Semester Hours: 3
Once a Year
Examines the delivery of nursing home and long-term care services
within institutional and community-based settings. Topics include
geriatric illnesses; environmental and safety regulations; medical
emergencies; human relations aspects of patient care; nursing policy;
legal, organizational and management issues of long-term care; and
utilization review and medical record keeping. special attention
is given to selected long-term care models, case management services,
and the role of the gerontologist in long-term care settings.
Prerequisites & Course Notes
