ELED 222A - Supervised Teaching Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
Close clinical supervision of M.S. in Education students currently teaching in an elementary school on a full-time basis. Must be taken concurrently with ELED 223 (for elementary education majors) or ELED 262 (for early childhood majors). Weekly seminars are provided. In order to receive a passing grade, students must attend four New York state-mandated seminars: prevention of child abuse and abduction, prevention of substance abuse, safety education/fire and arson prevention, and school violence prevention. Admission by application and interview. Applications are obtainable at the Office of Field Placement, to be returned by October 1 for the spring semester and by March 1 for the fall semester.
Prerequisites & Course Notes Corequisite: ELED 222B. Completion of Phase 2 course work. Pass/Fail grade only.
