CRWR 184S - Workshop: Writing Genre Fiction


Learn the tricks of the trade from this multiple award-winning author and editor, and the Executive Vice President of Mystery Writers of America. This workshop helps develop and hone fiction writing skills with a particular emphasis on writing for the genre markets. Exercises will stretch writing skills while having fun learning dual lessons on craft and the realities of the marketplace. Learn how to get an agent’s attention and how to create the kind of product that demands publication. The sessions will develop routine, process, and most importantly, an editorial eye and ear. Guest speakers will visit class during the sessions and share their hard-learned lessons with you.
