LAW 2906 - Legal Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation

Most lawyers interview clients and witnesses, counsel clients, and negotiate on their clients’ behalf.  These are among the most widely used skills in the everyday practice of law.  In this course, students learn these important, interrelated skills primarily through simulation.  They participate in interview, counseling, and negotiation exercises with immediate feedback.  They also conduct one-half hour counseling and negotiation sessions that are videotaped and critiqued.  The course includes a few short written assignments but no final exam.  Enrollment is limited.

Prerequisites & Notes
Evidence is not a prerequisite but is strongly recommended.
