LAW 3930 - Perspectives on Legal Analysis and Writing

This course is designed to introduce students to the format and components of the bar exam; enhance critical reading, thinking, and writing skills in order to maximize their performance on the exam; and show students effective approaches to studying for the bar exam. Students will review selected substantive subjects traditionally tested on the bar exam. Students will become familiar with techniques for answering multiple-choice questions from the Multistate Bar Exam and strategies for analyzing, organizing, and writing responses to essay questions. In addition to weekly in-class practice examinations and assignments, students will take diagnostic exams and meet with the course instructor(s) to review written work and discuss bar exam preparedness. This course is not designed to replace commercial bar preparation courses.
