ENGL 147A - American Fiction, 1950-PresentSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
An exploration of how fiction since WWII engages the complexity of aesthetic and cultural challenges that have characterized the second half of the “American” century. Works by such authors as Ellison, Nabokov, Bellow, Pynchon, Morrison, DeLillo, and Erdrich.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: WSC 1 and 2. Open only to students who have fulfilled the Writing Proficiency Exam requirement. (Formerly ENGL 146A.)
