ENGL 149 - The 19th-Century American NovelSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
A study of the origins and development of the 19th-century American novel in works by such writers as Cooper, Hawthorne, Melville, Stowe, Alcott, Twain, James, and Chopin.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: WSC 1 and 2. Open only to students who have fulfilled the Open only to students who have fulfilled the Writing Proficiency Exam requirement.
