ENGL 124A - The Woman Writer in AmericaSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
A study of the woman writer in America from the Colonial period through the present which considers gender in relation to larger historical issues and forces. Personal narratives, poetry, essays, and novels by such writers as Bradstreet, Sojourner Truth, Dickinson, Wharton, Plath, Oates, and Morrison.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: WSC 1 and 2. Open only to students who have fulfilled the Writing Proficiency Exam requirement.
