LAW 2970 - Real Time Lawyering: Negotiating the Complex Deal


The “ Negotiating the Complex Deal” course requires students to negotiate and draft documents to enable their clients to come to an agreement in a cash flow liquidity crisis. Student will represent the entities involved in the transaction. It is a pure commercial transactional course that will require students to negotiate and draft commercial documents in an emergency situation. Students will be assigned clients whom they will interview and counsel. The students will have to become familiar with the wide variety of financing options available to the parties, strategize, formulate options and negotiate on behalf of their clients. Then, they will draft documents to resolve the emergency. It is a 1 credit course offered over the course of one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
