EMBA 410A - International Management Practicum

Semester Hours: 3
Periodically
This course provides students with insights into the global business environment, including, but not limited to, assessment of various risks, cultural issues, international negotiations, preparing for an international assignment, global business strategies, and country-specific information. This experiential seminar is designed to teach EMBA  students the decision-making process for addressing challenges in a global context. The course is divided into two parts: the first provides the participants with an exposure to some of the critical issues that firms face as they venture into overseas markets, and the second requires the participants to travel to one or two countries to learn firsthand the problems faced by executives in these countries. Class lectures, discussion of topics, case analysis, and term reports would be used to achieve the learning objectives set for the first part.  A comprehensive travel report will be used to achieve the learning objectives in the second part.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Open only to matriculated EMBA  students. (Formerly 410; 6 s.h.)
