RES 265 - Advanced Statistics in Educational Research III

Semester Hours: 3
Summer
This course will provide students with a review of the content and skills necessary to apply the techniques of planning, entering, analyzing, and summarizing data that was introduced in prior statistics courses (RES 260 & 263). Students will be required to use their knowledge of correlations, T Tests, ANOVA (one-way, two-way, three-way, ANCOVA and MANOVA), and regression toward several different data contexts and situations. Students will gain a new understanding of how to assess the quality of their quantitative measurements using factor analysis and internal consistency reliability. With this comprehensive statistical background, those in this class will independently practice entering and analyzing data and interpreting the results. Students should gain a level of confidence in solving statistical problems with limited outside assistance.
