LING 151 - Phonetics and Phonology

An introduction to the International Phonetics Alphabet (IPA), structural phonemics, and generative phonology with emphasis on: a) phonetic symbols, b) distinctive oppositions and their relevance for signaling differences, and c) phonological rules and their implications.
