Semester Hours:3A survey of the history of disease and health within a global perspective, mainly focusing on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Over the course of the semester, we will examine the prevalence of disease and the evolution of medicine with special attention given to the experiences of immigrants, refugees, and other minority communities.
