JRNL 241 - Sports Journalism Semester Hours: 3
Periodically
Students will hone their ability to report, write, and edit sports stories. The class will examine trends in sports journalism over the past century, and students will take a critical look at some of the best contemporary writing. The business, ethical, and legal sides of sports journalism will be considered. Students will write articles for newspapers, magazines, and online venues, covering sports and various levels.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: JRNL 211 . Journalism students may not take this course on a Pass/Fail basis. Students not matriculating in the MA in Journalism program may take the course as a Pass/Fail elective. Lab fee additional.
