An in-depth study of the theories and practices for protection and prevention methodologies against cyber attacks. Design and analyze technological solutions including encryption, network access controls, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Practice techniques such as software assurance, verification and validation, physical/virtual security network, and cloud computing security. Examines strategies for large-scale prevention, such as critical infrastructure protection, international collaboration and law enforcement.
