MATH 006C - College Algebra EssentialsSemester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
This course includes the basic skills and concepts underlying the real numbers, real number line, laws and definitions of arithmetic, manipulating algebraic expressions, solving algebraic equations, graphs of linear, quadratic, and other equations, basic geometric relationships, and connections. Aside from skills and concepts, applications of their use will be discussed and practiced. This course meets the prerequisite requirements for Math 050.
This course is offered through CAMCLE—the Computer-Aided Mathematics Collaborative Learning Environment. Students work both independently and in collaboration with other students and peer teachers, and they meet regularly with the Director of CAMCLE.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Permission of CAMCLE director or department chairperson, based on Math Placement scores. If taken after passing any MATH course numbered 050 or higher, no credit will be given for this course.
