LAW 3830 - Family Law (With Skills Component) Family Law (with Skills Component) will integrate skills training into the traditional basic family law course, which focuses on state intervention in family relationships. The teacher may select topics from among the following: informal and nontraditional familial relationships, control of reproduction and current reproductive technology, antenuptial and separation agreements, adoption, termination of parental rights, divorce, property distribution, child custody, spousal and child support, paternity proceedings, and the role of the lawyer as counselor. In addition, the course will include regular skills training sessions, designed to afford the students the opportunity to learn skills related to modern family and matrimonial court practice.
Prerequisites & Notes Students may not take both Family Law and Family Law (with Skills Component)
