HIST 116 - AFAM - African-American History, 1865 to the PresentSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
Emphasis is given to the end of the institution of slavery and the successes and failures of Reconstruction, the evolution of Black political and cultural thought in the era of national segregation, and during and after the two world wars. The seeds for contemporary discussions about civil, educational, and political equality and economic equity originate in this context.
