JRNL 011 - News Writing and ReportingSemester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring, Summer
Students learn to report and write news across media platforms. The course explores the definition of news, its importance in a democratic society, the structure of the news-gathering process, the elements of news, digital reporting and research tools, accuracy and fairness as journalistic imperatives, and Associated Press style. Outside campus research and reporting time is required.
