HUHC 21A DRIVING AI & INTERNET OF THINGS INNOVATION INTO HEALTHCARE
Have you ever wondered “Where Good Ideas Come From?” Is it some serendipitous event, luck, or maybe good fortune that serves as the guide for innovation? This course answers that question by providing a practical guide for developing a Framework for Innovation. The course will then teach students how to use this framework to develop an Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) solution for healthcare. Students will be required to work as a team, doing research, developing the framework, and then creating a prototype of their technology invention and demonstrating the novelty of their innovation. This course is an intentional blend of computer science, engineering, healthcare, and innovation best practices.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Special Topic Seminars are open to Honors College students in good standing and, with the permission of the instructor and the RHC Deans’ Office, to other students who meet RHC entrance criteria. May be repeated for credit when topics vary. Not for liberal arts credit.
