PSC 128 - The Constitution: Political Freedom and Civil Liberties

Semester Hours: 3

Spring

Civil liberties are those basic rights and freedoms (including speech, press, religion, privacy, and due process) that are guaranteed in the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights.  This course, employing the Socratic method and the reading and briefing of Supreme Court cases (as practiced in law school), explores the legal and political battles determining the proper balance between liberty and safety.
