FIN 131 - Financial Analytics for Sports And Entertainment

Semester Hours: 3

This course will introduce students to the financial economics of contemporary sports and entertainment industries, while exploring the concepts and topics such as financial planning, analytics of economic sports models, economic motives of entertainment organizations, financing franchises, agency problems, among others. Additionally, students will be introduced to economic and financial issues and factors affecting the sports and entertainment industries such as demand and supply, market structure, digital technology, and industry delivery.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:

Sophomore Standing (24 cr. hrs.) or above; MATH 40 or above, ECO 1, ACCT 101, BAN 1.
