WSC 126 - Health CommunicationSemester Hours: 3 This course is an introduction to health communication. Health communication is relevant for virtually every aspect of health and well-being, including disease prevention, health promotion, and quality of life. This course is designed to help participants learn about the relation of communication processes to health; an awareness of one’s own attitudes, values, beliefs, and assumptions about health and disease; developing health communication interventions; and how diversity influences health outcomes and health care interactions.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis. Credit is given for WSC 126 or RHET 123 , not both.
