SPED 347 - Developing Behavioral Interventions


Semester Hours: 3
This course is intended to provide students with an understanding of developing behavioral interventions. Students will explore a variety of topics related to developing behavioral interventions including the use of antecedent-based interventions, replacing behavior, reacting to challenging behavior, and generalization and maintenance of behavior change.  The course will focus on the development of a behavior intervention plan.  Students will learn how to create a datasheet, collect and analyze data related to student behavior. The matching function of behavior to intervention will be reviewed.  Ethical considerations in behavior intervention planning will be discussed throughout the course
