DPT 541 - Clinical Integration I
Semester Hours: 3
Clinical Integration I is the first of five clinical full-time supervised clinical experiences. Clinical Integration I consists of six (6) weeks of full-time clinical practice in a clinical environment. This is the student’s first opportunity to integrate and apply academic preparation in the clinical setting under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This clinical course emphasizes the application and practice of physical therapy knowledge, skills, problem-solving, and behaviors appropriate to patient and practice management. Demonstration of skills and application of knowledge, safety, communication, critical thinking skills, professionalism, and assuming responsibility for learning is emphasized and expected of the student.
