LAW 3960 - Secured Transactions
This course provides an opportunity to study the structure and documentation of various types of assetbased (personal property) financing under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Subjects covered include: inventory financing, equipment financing and leasing, receivables financing and factoring, multistate transactions and new forms of collateral financing available under the 1999 revisions of Article 9. Close attention is paid to priority disputes among creditors as well as with federal tax liens, and to enforceability of secured claims in bankruptcy proceedings.
