LAW 5101 - Business Organizations (with Skills)


This course integrates a component of skills training into the traditional Business Organizations course. This additional component will provide an introduction to some of the skills and knowledge needed in transactional law by integrating substantive law instruction with skills development through a series of drafting assignments.  These assignments offer students the opportunity to draft and compare contract provisions drawn from the assigned topics, cases and problems; further they allow students to develop and hone the critically important foundational lawyering skills of issue spotting and analysis, problem-solving, drafting, synthesis of law and fact, with some exposure to client interviewing, negotiating and counseling.
