LAW 3613 - Law, Religion and Health This three-credit course delves into several aspects of health care as it pertains to religion and the law. It will include a deep dive into the US Constitution, federal, and state laws regarding different medical practices, and various stances based on religion. Medicine has shifted in the last century from decisions made by physicians to decisions made by patients and their family members. Medicine is highly regulated by the law, yet our individual decisions about our healthcare preferences are governed by our preexisting understanding of disease, culture, values, and religion.
