DPT 523 - Clinical Reasoning Semester Hours: 2 This course is designed to advance students’ clinical reasoning skills in management of patient cases. This course explores applications of the physical therapy examination, evaluation, and management process to patient cases. The course uses patient case scenarios to facilitate students’ skills in clinical reasoning by allowing the students to apply relevant knowledge and skills within the Patient Management Model. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and development of intervention strategies.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Prerequisites for this course include all preceding coursework in the curriculum. Any exceptions require approval from the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program Director. May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
