DPT 512 - Clinical Medicine Semester Hours: 3 This course covers the basic normal histology and physiology and pathophysiology, signs, symptoms and medical management and common surgical and diagnostic procedures of medical conditions that are encountered in the practice of physical therapy. This course highlights the impact of these pathologies, indications, precautions, contraindications, and considerations for the physical therapy evaluation and management of patients presenting with these medical conditions.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Prerequisites for this course include all preceding coursework in the curriculum. Any exceptions require approval from the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). May not be taken on a Pass/Fail basis.
