LAW 2760 - Healthcare and Machine Intelligence Law
The HMIL course examines the impact of public policy-making relating to science, medicine, healthcare, and Machine Intelligence effected through a range of forums. These include legislation, regulation, executive orders, enforcement, and adjudication, with each providing a means for addressing and resolving conflicts between and among the stakes held by wide-ranging stakeholders across the HMI landscape.
As a foundation, the course provides participants with both theoretical and practical insights into the manner by which public policy-making tools within various legal forums can be used to resolve the inter-stakeholder competition, while taking note at the same time of the growing economic and social significance of the intersection of healthcare and Machine Intelligence.
