IT 131 - Information Systems AuditingSemester Hours: 3 This course introduces students to the fundamentals of IT auditing, focusing on collecting and evaluating digital evidence to assess information systems’ data integrity, asset protection, and resource efficiency. Students will explore tools and techniques for auditing networks, data-center operations, and access security. Topics include fraud detection, cybersecurity and compliance audit standards, and secure IT operations. By course end, students will be prepared to skillfully conduct comprehensive IT and cybersecurity audits in enterprise environments.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: IT 015 or permission of the department chairperson. (Formerly Information Technology Auditing.)
