MATH 050C - Precalculus EssentialsSemester Hours: 3 This course is an intensive study of algebra involving polynomial, rational, and radical expressions; the fundamentals of coordinate geometry, and trigonometric functions as needed for Math 071. It is intended for students who plan to take Math 071 and whose math placement scores indicate that the intensity of this course would be beneficial. This course meets the prerequisite requirements for Math 071.This course is offered through CAMCLE—the Computer-Aided Mathematics Collaborative Learning Environment. Students work both independently and in collaboration with other students and peer teachers, and they meet regularly with the Director of CAMCLE.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Permission of CAMCLE director or department chairperson. Credit is given for MATH 050 or Math 050C, but not both. Students who have received a grade of B- or better in MATH 006A are encouraged to take MATH 050 rather than MATH 050C.
