FIN 153 - Student Managed Investment Fund: Junior Analyst

Semester Hours: 1
This course is an introduction to the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF). An overview of the fund’s organization, operations and mission is provided. Students are actively engaged in identifying and screening for company, industry and market information used in the fund’s investment process. As junior analysts, students are introduced to features of the Bloomberg terminals that facilitate the requisite financial analysis related to the management of the student run fund.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
FIN 101  and permission of the department chairperson.  This course does not satisfy specific credit requirements toward the Finance major.
