FIN 154 - Student Managed Investment Fund: Senior Analyst

Semester Hours: 1
This course is open to students who have successfully completed work as analysts with the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF). As returning senior analysts with the SMIF, students will have the opportunity to develop their mentoring and leadership skills. Students will mentor new analysts and investment research teams as they begin their experience with the SMIF organization. As senior analysts, they will have important responsibilities in coordinating and running the weekly SMIF meetings. They will have leadership responsibilities in formulating SMIF meeting agendas, serving as discussion leaders, teaching junior analysts, and monitoring the overall state of the SMIF portfolio. 

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
FIN 155A , FIN 155B  and permission of the department chairperson.  This course does not satisfy specific credit requirements toward the Finance major.
