This course allows students to integrate and apply their scientific knowledge and experiences to improve the health and wellness of patients with commonly occurring medical-surgical problems in the acute care, ambulatory or community-based setting. This course emphasizes the use of the nursing process in developing competence in providing and coordinating nursing care. The course includes a clinical practicum, allowing the student the opportunity to integrate theoretical concepts and clinical practice in diverse adult populations.
