ENGG 161 - Introduction to RoboticsSemester Hours: 3.0 Robotics is a rapidly growing field with applications including unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous cars, and robotic manipulators. This course introduces the fundamental principles of robotic systems. Topics include Introduction to Robotics, Kinematics (Forward & Inverse) of Serial & Parallel Robots, Rigid Body Dynamics (Newton-Euler and Lagrange), Motion Profile and Trajectory Planning, Feedback Control Systems (Root-Locus and Frequency-Response), Actuators & Drive Systems, and Sensors.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: ENGG 142, ENGG 179 or permission of instructor.
