ANTH 188 - Special Topics: Urban Space and Identity


This course provides an intensive study of urban space and identity, including class, ethnic, racial, gender and national identities. Ethnographic and cross-cultural approaches will be emphasized, and students will be instructed on how to use anthropological methods. In addition to attending class lectures, students will be required to complete and present a mini-ethnographic project of their own.


Prerequisites & Notes
Open to students who have completed at least 6 semester hours in anthropology and/or related social sciences. May be repeated when topics vary.
