ELED 214 - Critical Connections: Human Development and Schooling Fall, Spring, Summer
One of the two courses that critically examines human development within the
context of culture and schooling, designed for prospective teachers who need to
take seriously the idea that cultural context is crucial to understanding development.
Emphasis is placed on changing those aspects of the school and classroom environment
to support and enhance the development of children. Students consider notions
of development that are grounded in concerns for equity and social justice. 15
hours of field work required.
Prerequisites & Notes (Formerly ELED 213, 214. Childhood Development and the Elementary School Program.)
