LYST 206 - Teaching Memoir, Autobiography, and Personal Narrative Fall, Spring
Course emphasizes teaching strategies and examines the genre distinctions between
memoir, autobiography, and personal narrative writing, as well as the role of
fact, truth, and truthfulness, in these literary non-fiction genres. Course requires
participation in an experiential personal narrative writing and reading workshop
in which students read from and write in these genres.
