COUN 283B - Workshop: Counseling At-Risk YouthSemester Hours: 3 This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of
the problematic behaviors often associated with at-risk youth in
relation to counseling this population. Topics covered will include
teen pregnancy, academic drop-out, substance abuse, delinquency and
violence, gangs and other relevant issues. Students will learn the
intervention strategies and resources that can be used in the
counseling of at-risk youth.
Prerequisites & Course Notes: COUN 223 or permission of Counseling Program Director.
