SPCH 131 - Introduction to Communication Disorders

Semester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring
The course provides an overview of speech-language and hearing disorders across the human lifespan. Theories, etiologies, and symptoms, as well as the educational and sociocultural impact of various disorders are addressed. The role of the speech-language pathologist and audiologist in the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders is emphasized.


Prerequisites & Course Notes:
