HADM 200 - U.S. Health Services System Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
An overview of the current health services system in the United
States. Emphasis on describing such health services as hospitals,
nursing homes, ambulatory and home health care, behavioral health
facilities, as well as issues relating to governmental roles, health
insurance and professional autonomy and development. Materials
stress how the current health services system can better organize,
deliver, and finance health care. National trend data
reviewed to document the evolution of health services and the prospects
for change.
