LAW 2846 - Transgender Law
This course explores how the law constructs and regulates gender identity. Specific issues covered include the documentation of gender, access to healthcare, antidiscrimination law, and family law. Students will study existing law and critique it from various theoretical perspectives. Readings will include legal materials from numerous jurisdictions around the world, legal scholarship, and works from other academic disciplines.
