SPED 255 - Introduction to Gifted Education
This course is designed to provide study of issues related to the concept of giftedness, identification of gifted students, and education of gifted students. An introduction to the characteristics of students who learn at a pace and level that is significantly different from that of their classmates, including but not limited to gifted students and other high ability learners. A study of the nature and needs of the gifted/talented child, particularly in relation to the school setting, including an examination of the concept of creativity and its implications for educational intervention will be emphasized. earning, Cline
