FDED 233 - Children of Color: The Social Construction of Race in
Semester Hours: 3Grounded in sociological literature and discussions, this course will examine how racial categorizations of children affect and are affected by their school experiences. Particular attention will be paid to both the theoretical and practical implications of race as a socially constructed feature influencing academic and social development in the United States.
